Joel Potischman architects and builds robust and dynamic back–end RESTful web apps for Arc90. Joel specializes in writing reliable and maintainable software to free the business from developer bottlenecks. Joel helped Zagat when their site couldn’t handle the traffic. He’s built systems that handled hundreds of gigabytes of data. And for one client, he met the requirement that he design a system he could administer without being able to view the highly sensitive data it contained. Joel’s last manager said “you’re really good on the weird projects.”

When he’s not doing something computery, Joel can be found in Brooklyn with his wife, two kids, two cats, dog and rotating cast of invertebrates dragged in by one of the above. Joel loves music, cooking, cycling, dark beer, Behavior–Driven Development (BDD), System.Collections.Generic and learning something new.
