Daniel Lacy
Dan Lacy hails from a minuscule town in the Midwest commonly referred to as Chicago. Dan maintains a deep–rooted love for heavy metal, rock and roll, and video games. Wedged within his interests, there is also a passion for all things related to technology and art. In 2006, Dan graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a multidisciplinary degree in design, animation, and illustration. While he never studied technology–related fields in school, he’s been an avid follower of programming since early childhood. This hobby–grown–career has led him to build an ever–expanding wealth of knowledge across a variety of languages, including JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and Ruby.
After graduation, Dan freelanced his way around various design and Web development studios. In February 2008, on a typically cold Chicago morning, Dan and his girlfriend, Tina, decided to move to NYC. They arrived seven months later and settled in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Not long after, Dan came across a company called Arc90 and began working here. Since then, he considers himself one of the luckiest guys in the city. Although he misses the deliciously greasy food of Chicago, Dan doesn’t see himself leaving NYC in the foreseeable future.
