Alec Munro is super awesome, he even wrote this biography of himself! Besides being exceptionally modest, he’s also dedicated to the craft of delivering great software. Since the age of 8, he has been breaking computers and the software that runs on them, in ways too varied and contrived to fully enumerate here (static electricity, fire suppression systems, sandpaper, freezers, telepathy…). Suffice to say, it has given him a keen interest in what goes into making technology work, which has lead to responsibilities in testing, automation and process improvement. He doesn’t always write software, but when he does, it’s in Python.

On a personal level, Alec lives in Canada, where he works from his home in the woods. He enjoys brewing, spending time with his family, and origami. Yes, he will help you fix your computer (or buy a new one). He aces standardized tests.

At Arc, Alec works on the Insight team as “Mr. Quality”, overseeing testing, optimizing process, and otherwise rounding off sharp edges to allow us to deliver some of the best software in the world!
