Rama Poola
Director / Product Management / Strategy
Rama Poola wins the contest for having the longest first name in the office (Ramakrishnaswamy Poola has 16 letters!). He joined Arc90 in 2006, after graduating from New York University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Economics. Rama’s parents wanted him to work for an investment bank or a Fortune 500 company but he’s found his niche at Arc90. As a director, Rama’s responsibilities include overseeing programmers, helping to design the back-end of software, and interacting with clients. Rama is often away from his desk because he spends most of his time working with his team.
Born in Queens and raised in Brookfield, CT, Rama currently resides in Brooklyn. He is the proud owner of a pit bull and chow mix dog named Charlie. When he’s not at work, Rama enjoys writing music and playing the guitar; you might even hear him playing at an open mic night in Brooklyn. In 1994, Pearl Jam’s Evenflow was the first song that 10-year-old Rama learned to play on the guitar. Some of Rama’s co-workers still remember his trip to Australia in 2007; he went skydiving over Byron Bay, the eastern most point of the continent, and e-mailed a photo to his friends in New York. Whatever you do, don’t ask Rama to draw or paint since he admits that he can’t even doodle.
