Garrett Kalleberg
Development
Garrett Kalleberg likes to make things, especially things with words and images, in a tenuous space between the abstract and the concrete.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cooper Union, an Master of Arts in Creative Writing from City College, and a life–long interest in ideas and the mind, creating things for the Web has been a logical synthesis of diverse interests and experiences. Garrett tries to bring a design sense — conceptual design, application design, intellectual design, in addition to visual sensibility — into that work.
Garrett writes both code and poetry, finding a strong affinity between the two: both are highly condensed, semantically rich linguistic structure domains, fecund with meaning. Write words / and this other stuff happens, he writes in a piece called Execution Errors. His favorite word is why.
