Kindling DevOps Engineer Full Time
Kindling Inc. is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in New York, NY or remotely. Kindling is a small firm of design–driven, passionate technologists who work in midtown Manhattan. Our main product is a social innovation platform for helping companies innovate from within. At Kindling you’d be part of the Services team, whose primary responsibility is ensuring that customers have a smooth and successful experience using our product. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and able to take ownership of a task from start to finish to make sure it gets done.
We need someone to help us with:
- Creating scripts to migrate data and perform bulk updates (using Groovy or PHP are a plus).
- Setting up and configuring the Kindling app on a virtual Linux machine, and assisting customers with installing the virtual machine on their server. This will involve working with Linux, MySql, PHP, and network configuration, among other things.
- Communicating with customers, including both technical and non-technical users, as we resolve tasks or problems for them. Keeping the customer up-to-date and well-informed is just as important as getting the task done.
- Configuring VPN connections between customers and Kindling
- Investigating bugs and technical issues and working to identify the root cause by reviewing logs, SQL data, http traffic, client configuration, etc.
- Integrating applications with authentication technologies like Single Sign On, LDAP, Active Directory, NTLM, PKI, OpenAuth
- Writing automated acceptance tests using Groovy and Webdriver
- Other items we come up with, or you come up with once you’re here!
To apply, please:
- Include a cover letter that includes an explanation of how your skills and experience apply to the work we described above and why you’d be a good fit.
- Attach a resume.
- Send both to jobs@arc90.com and use “Kindling DevOps Engineer” as the subject line.
